What happens when 1000 Island DockDogs (www.1000islandsdockdogs.com) gets together with eight local Animal Rescue organizations? A Splashing good time at an action-packed canine sport, open to dogs of all breeds/people of all ages!

For over ten years DockDogs has been growing in popularity with dog lovers and this unique and exciting sport continues to spread around the world. Requirements for participation are minimal: participating dogs must love being in the water. The rules are very simple, which makes this sport ideal for children, beginners and seasoned competitors alike.

In addition to participating in or watching the dock diving events, visitors to Take the Plunge will be able to browse many local vendors on site, bid on great silent auction items, meet representatives from local animal rescue groups and be treated to some exciting canine sports demos throughout the weekend – among other things!

This exciting family oriented event will be held at the Rideau Carleton Raceway on September 11th and 12th 2010.
