The Canadian Museum of Nature with Students on Ice presents launch of the "Polar Perspectives 2008 Speakers Series and Youth Forums" in recognition of International Polar Year. April 1, 7:30 p.m. at the Canadian Museum of Nature with a free lecture, "Five Months on Foot with an Arctic Caribou Herd", by award-winning author and wildlife biologist Karsten Heuer. Heuer is the author of Being Caribou, an award-winning book and the title of a National Film Board of Canada production. Doors open at 6:30 for viewing of information displays and the lecture gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Seating is on a FIRST COME basis. 240 McLeod Street (at Metcalfe) in Ottawa.
